Basis and limits
- Metabolic weight: body weight^0.75 (kg^0.75). Scales basal metabolic rate across species and sizes.
- BSA (dog): 0.101 × kg^0.666 (Kleiber-based approximation commonly used in veterinary oncology).
- BSA (cat): 0.100 × kg^0.666 (slightly different constant for feline patients).
- Scope: this tool provides arithmetic support. It does not select protocols or dosing regimens.
